My latest goal is to identify and present my idea of the grandness of 3d abstract art. I believe there is so much to gain from this area of art. I am cataloging this in my collection called 'Abstract Darkly.' I absolutely don't require a piece be dark and somber for it to be good, this decorum of art has always attracted me.
So far, there are two types of this art that are involved. The pure abstract of wild shapes and figures, random lines, curves and shades. Most of which keep the integrity of proper lighting and thus are pushed into this circle of what I consider goodness.
The other type I am seeking are those that were photos and have been so manipulated to which there is nothing but a surreal atmosphere saturating the piece. These are sometimes too over done. I find that the more complex and fine the detail is, the less clutter of objects there needs to be.
In this collection of dark pieces, I guess I would be featuring the line between the intangible and surreal-nightmare while including a margin from both sides.
